Ernesto Olivares is visual journalist and consultant in data and information visualization.  He has fifteen years experience conceptualizing, designing and producing journalistic infography and visual solutions for newspapers and magazines in Spain and Latin America. Some of the most important infographics redesigns were made for “La Vanguardia” supplements (Barcelona) and the “Cofina Group” (Portugal).

He has also advised on the creation, development and training of infography departments, according to the needs of the media.

In the field of visual solutions for businesses, he has displayed visualization projects of information for companies like “McGraw Hill” and a subsidiary of the French group “Suez”.

He has specialized in design and infographics for newspapers at the Poynter Institute (USA) and Navarra University (Spain). In interactivity and digital media, he has taken the intensive course of Multimedia Infographics by elmundo.es (Madrid) and currently he is following a master in 3D animation (Barcelona)
